NIFD Skill Development and Training Society, Jammu is a premier institute dedicated to nurturing creativity, professional excellence, and entrepreneurial skills in the fields of design and vocational education. Established in 1997, NIFD has built a strong legacy of empowering students with industry-relevant knowledge and practical training for nearly three decades. Located in the heart of Jammu city at Karan Market near Indira Chowk, our centrally air-conditioned campus offers a vibrant learning environment equipped with modern classrooms, AV aids, Wi‑Fi connectivity, and a resourceful library to support holistic learning. At NIFD, we offer government-recognized diploma and degree programs in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Beauty & Makeup, Bakery & Culinary Skills, Photography, and Digital Illustration. Our curriculum combines creativity with hands-on practical exposure, helping students develop confidence, technical expertise, and professional readiness.The institute is ISO certified and approved by MSME, reflecting our commitment to quality education and skill development aligned with national standards. Over the years, NIFD has successfully trained hundreds of students who are now working as professionals, entrepreneurs, and freelancers across India and abroad. Beyond classroom education, NIFD actively collaborates with government departments and community initiatives, including skill development workshops for women under the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), contributing to social empowerment and livelihood generation. Under the leadership of Chairperson Mrs. Vanita Thakur, NIFD continues its mission to inspire creativity, build careers, and transform lives through quality design education and skill-based training.
